Happy New Year! (Pearls and Sequin)

Happy new year everyone! We made it! All I can say is thank you God. I am looking forward to greater accomplishments this year. I plan on being consistent with blogging and I pray for the strength to fulfill that as a mother of two. Exercising and healthy eating habits will also be incorporated into my lifestyle this year. I am also picking up some interest like sewing...I will keep you all posted along the line. Todays outfit is a definition of the holiday colors. I wore a sequin black dress as a top and paired it with this rich red color long length skirt. Opted for this beautiful big gold belt to add some edge to the outfit. Golden Christmas

Merry christmas everyone! Here comes one of my favorite holidays of all times. This holiday means a lot to me, because it celebrates the birth of our lord Jesus Christ. It is a time set aside to exchange gifts and spend time with our loved ones. I am so glad christmas falls on a Sunday this year. Today's outfit features this beautiful vintage gold dress presented to me by my sister. I am so in love with this dress. I love the transparent organza material of the sleeves and the design of the shoulder. I paired it with this beautiful gold belt, but I later on realized a black belt would have been better. The day of this photoshoot was so cold and windy, but it was fun shooting in this lovely dress. Enjoy the post people and have a wonderful christmas!

Christmas is about some few days away! I am so grateful to God for giving me the opportunity to make it through this year. Maryland's weather continues to get colder and I cannot help but stay indoors as much as I could. Today's outfit features this beautiful big bow grey skirt paired with a bow off shoulder strike top. Sighting the bow skirt online few years ago was a must get.  I opted for a high knee boots due to the cold weather. We can be stylish regardless of the cold weather. Ruffle Neck Top

I wore this outfit to church about two weeks ago. Immediately when my friend "Nomi" handed this top to me as a gift, I was like oh no! I jumped on her and gave her a hug. She stared at me like I was crazy. On the spot, I already knew how I was going to style the top. The first day she saw me styled it to church, she was like wow! I knew you did make it look beautiful. I love the ruffles on the neck coupled with the pleated pattern. I paired it with this beautiful skinny purple custom made pant. I have had this pant for over two years now, and never believed I could fit back in it. I am so in love with this top, and I can't wait to style it a different way next time. Enjoy the post people! Skirt Is The New Off Shoulder

The weather is beginning to be unfriendly! I am not a very good fan of the cold weather. I hope everyone is staying warm? Today's look features this custom made polka dot skirt. I am certain most people are aware that I am a huge fan of the color red. I love the fact that red suits people of different color. I styled a skirt as a top and paired it with a skinny black pant. Wrap It up dress

On seeing this gorgeous wrap dress on the stunning actress Mercy Aigbe through her Instagram page was a must get. She handed the dress to me earlier this year when she visited maryland as a gift. I wore it to a friend's wedding sometimes in September. I love how the dress wraps one up tightly bringing out your figure. If you follow me on Instagram (kiks_closet) you can notice I styled the dress with a different hair style. This wrap dress can be styled on different body shapes and women of color. Hello beautiful people! I hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving dinner this past Thursday. I was opportune to spend quality time with my family. Thanks be to God for everything! I am so sorry i have been away for months now. I have been really busy and keeping up with blogging is not as easy as you all think. Here is an all black outfit post for today!
